Nuclear fusion breakthrough
World’s first commercial nuclear fusion energy power plant is to be built in West Burton, Nottinghamshire, UK. This was further supported by the US Dept of Energy announcement in December 2022 of the first successful “net energy gain” of 50% in a nuclear fusion reaction at the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, California, USA.
